The Walking Dead

There is a phenomenal fascination with zombies these days, from hollywood, to video gaming and even the gun industry with their zombie targets. There has always been that zombie genre out there but the magnitude of it's growth and following is just crazy now. Of course you already know that  zombies are dead people who appear to be alive. They walk around in this kind of zoned out (dead) state of being with blank stares on their faces until they come across someone is actually alive and then it seems like they get angry and try to consume the living person. One day I was thinking about zombies and their behavior, I don't know why, and it dawned on me that the bible talks about zombies (the walking dead) all the time. Ephesians 2:1-3 says "And you (believers) hath he quickened (made alive), who were dead in trespasses and sins. 2. Wherein times past you WALKED according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience. 3 Amoung whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and or the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. We were dead in our drunkenness, drug use, fornication, adulteries, lies, wicked imaginations, selfishness and greed, pride, gluttony and idolatry. We were alive physically but dead spiritually. So when you see someone who is still caught up in these things and apart from Jesus Christ what you are actually looking at is a real life zombie. But God is good and he is able to save them just like he was able to save me and give me life. Before I mentioned how zombies try to consume the living. I guess it is just something that is in their nature to do so. And that's exactly what real life spiritual zombies do as well, they try to destroy the living, the people of God, with their mouths. Job 16:9 He teareth me in his wrath, who hateh me: he gnasheth upon me with his teeth; mine enemy shapeneth his eyes upon me. Lamentations 2:16 All thine enemies have opened their mouth against thee: they hiss and gnash the teeth; they say, We have swallowed her up: certainly this is the day that we have looked for; we have found it and seen it. The zombies love to speak evil of Gods people even about the Lord himself bearing false witness against him because their actions are evil. I have a few questions for you, are you a zombie today? Are you one of the walking dead who inhabit the earth, dead in your sins and trespasses whose only purpose is satisfy your fleshly lusts and desires? Are you still rejecting Jesus Christ and his gospel? If so then the wrath of God is resting on you right now. John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life: but the wrath of God abideth on him. Now is the time of salvation, now is the time to come to Jesus and receive eternal life, now is the time to be born again and inherit the kingdom of God.

The Importance of Remembering (God's word)

The importance of remembering Gods word; part 1

The Lord constantly in his word admonishes us to remember His word and all the mighty works that He has done for His people. For some reason, probably because of our fallen nature, we as humans have to be continuously reminded about a lot of things.Wether they be important or insignificant events in our lives, we need reminders to bring those events back to the forefronts of our minds. Calendars, alarms, pasty notes, even the occasional message on the palms of our hands are a few methods that are used to help remember stuff.
All throughout the old and new testaments are exhortations and warnings from God to think upon the mercies of God and what thus saith the Lord. The following are scriptures that speak of the forgetfulness of the people. Psalm 106:7 "Our fathers when they were in Egypt, did not consider your wonderous works, they did not remember the abundance of your steadfast love, but rebelled by the sea,at the Red Sea."  Isaiah 17:10 For you have forgotten the God of your salvation and have remembered the Rock of your refuge, therefore, though you plant pleasant plants and sow the vine-branch of a stranger. 11. though you make them grow on the day that you plant them, and make them blossom in the morning that you sow, yet the harvest will flee away in a day od grief and incurable pain.." Ezekiel 16:22 " And in all your abominations and your whorings you did not remember the days of your youth, when you were naked and bare, wallowing in your blood." And finally Ezekiel 16:43 says " Because you have not remembered the days of your youth, but have enraged me with all these things, therefore, behold, I have returned your deeds upon your heads, saith the Lord God: and thou shalt not commit this lewdness above all thine abominations." So we see definite consequences for forgetting the word of God, to do it. James engourages believers to be " ...doers of the word and not hearers only deceiving your own selves." James 1:22.

Resurrection Sunday

As countless people worldwide take time out today to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, I wonder if (we) really fully understand the depths of what took place that day when God raised Jesus from the dead. God the Father declared Jesus to be the Son of God (God the Son), with POWER, according the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.Jesus is not just a man He is the Word made flesh. It is also a testimony that the Father has accepted Jesus perfect sacrifice of Himself as the substitute for sinful man. The blood of Jesus washes away our sins Rev.1:5, but it is the risen Christ that gives eternal life to the forgiven sinner. 1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.  I am the resurrection, and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believeth thou this? John 11:26-27. We will live forever if we put our faith in Jesus Christ. 1 Tim. 3:16  And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the gentiles, believed on in the world, received up in to glory. Jesus, the way, the truth and the life.

Idolatry in the U.N. - Earth Worship

The worship of "Mother Earth" is now being in institutionalized worldwide in the form of U.N. resolutions and mandates. There are now calls from some in the international community to extend human rights to the Earth on which we live. This is very dangerous and if implemented would set in motion an unprecedented legislative enactments that  would eventually lead to forced capitulation of all peoples into Earth worship.  The bible speaks about the creation being worshipped and the creator being rejected and the punishment for such things in Romans 1:16-32.
"In January, Bolivia became the world’s first nation to grant the natural environment equal rights to humans. Bolivia’s Law of Mother Earth is heavily influenced by the spiritual indigenous Andean world outlook that revolves around the earth deity Pachamama, roughly translated to Mother Earth."  quote from fox news.com

International Earth Day just happens to falling on Good Friday, a holy day  that some Christians remember Lord for His sacrificial death on the cross. Who do worship, the Creator or the creature.

Romans 1:16-32
16For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.    17For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
   18For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
   28And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

The great deciever

As if the people of Detroit don't already have enough problems(because of sin), here come Jeffrey Fieger and Carol Cain suggesting that the City of Detroit should legislate more wickedness into their lives. These evil people have the audacity to say that the legalization of drug use and prostitution would make the city more "attractive". Yeah it will be more attractive alright, to every pervert and weed head in the country. Proverbs 14:34 says that "righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people." The rapid deterioration of this nation is the reaping of the ungodly seeds being continually sown on every level of society. From the corrupt institutions of govt., academia, and religion, all the way down to the godless individual who rejects the gospel of Jesus Christ. What we see are floundering elected officials pushing this country headlong into an abyss of economic, moral, and spiritual destruction from which there is no return. And so called experts who fill college campuses with their anti-Christ philosophies hardening the hearts of young minds who are already prepped for deception by the constant brainwashing occurring in the public school system. Fieger and Cain contend that Detroit would gain much needed revenue to help alleviate some woes the city is having, but I'll let you in on a secret, it's not the lack of funds that's hurting Detroit, it's the lack of Jesus in the hearts of the citizens that hurting them. There is no peace says my God to the wicked. Isaiah 57:21. The devil is a liar and the father of lies, and if anyone believes that fornication and the lusts of the flesh will help them, they are totally entrapped in the devils lies.

Dead men walking

Often times while I'm working I'll become sad for, frustrated with, and angry at my co-workers. Most of the time it's not necessarily because of anything they have said or done to me personally, but  just the fact that they don't care about their own souls. Not to mention the price that Jesus paid to save their souls. I asked God to help me to love them, and people in general, like he loves them. So it's difficult sometimes to see them, laugh and joke with them, share our life stories both past and  present, and realize that one day that there is a very real possibility that they will stand before God having rejected Jesus Christ as their Savior. That they could spend all of eternity in unimaginable torment separated from God. What makes it even more difficult for me is knowing that it doesn't have to be, they don't have to be cast into the lake of fire, they don't have to suffer forever, why won't they listen, why won't they accept Christ, why don't they care, uuuhhhhhhh, why why why??? I know God loves them way more than I do so I wonder how much more He is grieved over lost souls.

The goodness of God

I remember when there was a point in my life when having my own family was just a dream. I just wanted my own, you know. I felt so lonely and I cried out to God, literally, and begged him to give me a wife and children. One child at least from my own loins and more specifically a son. I knew I didn't have the gift of celibacy so abstaining from sex was extremely hard for me. Plus I wondered what it would be like to have a woman in my life that knew the Lord. I would be cool for a year, a year and half, then give in to my sinful desires. But God is faithful and gracious. My Lord Jesus stood by me the whole time, what seemed like forever, during that trial of loneliness and depression. I was in my early to mid thirties and still hadn't had any children of my own. I had smoked so much weed that I thought I may have permanently damaged the goods, know what I mean. There weren't any other males in my family with my last name and if I died or something that would be it. That thought dogged for awhile not only because there wouldn't be anyone to carry on the family name but I didn't to die without having a son to raise up to the Lord. Someone with my name to be a ambassador for Christ on the Earth. I remember God promised me a son. I heard Him say to me that He would me a son, but honestly over the course of the years I had forgotten that promise, but He didn't. Even I wasn't always faithful or good, the Lord remained faithful and demonstrated His goodness in this one of countless ways. He blessed me with a beautiful baby boy. Thank you Jesus for being so good to me. To anyone out there who is lonely, afraid or don't know where to turn, I say call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Call on God, he is waiting for you and wanting to comfort you and heal you and listen to you and save you and deliver you. Confess your sins to God he is not going to condemn you, he will forgive you. Ask God to come into your heart turn away from sins and be saved get baptized in the name of Jesus and experience all the love that God has for you.

My God is so Good

Man I'm just thankful that God has chosen me to be a part of His family. He expresses His love towards me in so many ways but none more breathtaking than in the person of Jesus Christ. I mean the sacrifice, the care, the concern the attention that is given to me and all of my needs. (I am a very needy person :)) It just takes my breath away. I know that I don't deserve Him or what He gives to me, so that makes it all the better. Not to say that I don't get down sometimes or lose sight of why He made me, because sometimes I do, however He reminds me that He loves me no matter what I'm going through. Sometimes there aren't any external trials or difficult circumstances that am facing. You know like worries about bills, or problems with the wife or a death in the family or anything like that. But just my wretchedness staring me in the face and my sins constantly reminding of my failing Him so many times, you feel me? And then He embraces me in His grace and covers me with His mercy and it's like I can almost see His face, His loving eyes looking into mine and then I remember that My God is so good.

Yearning for Jesus

Where are you Lord? Come Lord Jesus come! Have you ever just come to a point where nothing or no one else really matters? A point where you are just so consumed by onething and that's the only thing that will satisfy you. Where you are wanting something so bad that you begin to literaly pant for it? That's where I'm at now in my desire for Christ. I love my wife and kids and I know that they love me. I have good job and good friends, a roof over my head, plenty of food to eat, but none of these things and people give me the joy and peace that God gives me through my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is the only one that.... me. I can't even truly express the way His love touches me,surrounds me,engulfs me,searches me,uplifts me,completes me,gives me hope and causes me to want to love him and others in the same matter.
The problem is I fall short and don't love Him like I should. I don't seek Him like I should. I don't love others like I should and I am reminded of my wretchedness, the blackness of my heart. In light of His goodness and grace, His mercy and forgiveness, His unfailing love towards me which He lavishes upon me unconditionaly, who am I too be unloveing and unforgiving towards anyone. After a brief moment of contemplation I realize that I am not worthy of Him. And because He is so Holy, so righteous, so pure and I am... well me, at times He seems so far away. Yet His graces reaches me where I am and causes me to long for the one who reedemed my soul with His own blood and I cry out where are you Lord. Come Lord Jesus come.

Antichrist (the movie)

I've been hearing a lot lately about this new film coming out called Antichrist. And of course when I heard the title I immediately assumed that this would be another horror movie, or a movie about antichrist the person who the bible warns us is coming in the last days. But when I read an article on Telegraph.co.uk which really was an interview with the star of the movie, William Dafoe, I was shocked to learn the true story of the film.
I've never seen the movie but basically it is about a psychiatrist (Dafoe), and his wife whose son dies after he falls out of a window while they are having wild sex (apparently throughout most of the movie) and not paying attention to him. He and the wife both fall into depression, her more deeply than him, but he recovers somewhat and feels like the treatment his wife is getting is not good enough. So he decides that he can treat better than the doctor she is already seeing. His therapy involves "hurting her" which according to his definition means more raunchy sex, and self mutilation. My description is far less detailed than the article, and Olga Craig, the journalist who wrote the piece, says that her description is way less graphic than what actually takes place on screen. Below is an excerpt from the article.

Olga craig -"Antichrist, which was previewed at the Cannes film festival amid a brouhaha of media moral outrage, whipped up a storm of indignation (most genuine, some affected) among critics who are aghast that the British Board of Film Classification has given the film – from the pen of Lars von Trier, the cult Danish film-maker – an 18 rating.

They are even more aghast at its unsimulated, nigh on pornographic scenes of uninhibited passion in which Dafoe and his co-star, Charlotte Gainsbourg, couple with feverish abandon before indulging in a frenzy of genital self-mutilation, mutual masturbation and an eye-watering quasi torture sequence. For those of you whose interests lean towards the prurient, I suggest you read a no-holds-barred description of the film on the internet. For those of a more delicate disposition, the following will suffice.

Dafoe and Gainsbourg – a psychiatrist and his wife – are grieving over the death of their only son who, in an artfully shot opening scene, falls from a window while they are engaged in the film’s first of many unflinching sex scenes. Gainsbourg suffers a breakdown. Dafoe rails at her therapy and medication and insists upon treating her himself. She protests that he is too close. Arrogant and overbearing, Dafoe insists.

They retreat to their secluded cabin. What ensues is a moving and thought-provoking journey through the dark and gritty themes of grief and guilt. There are moments of extreme tenderness interspersed with unfathomable fantasy: others of wanton sexual abandon that border on, then invade, the boundaries of what most would consider decency. Mediawatch-UK has denounced it as ‘shocking’ and critics denounced it as ‘an abomination’ and ‘sadistically violent’. "

WOW! After reading this article I can fully understand why they entitled this film Antichrist. It totally and undeniably made in the spirit of the antichrist. It opposes all that is of God and the teachings Jesus Christ which are found in the holy word of God. It shows the depth of the depravity of the human heart on many levels on and off camera. First off William Dafoe is a married man which means that he is committing adultery. Secondly his wife doesn't mind and even has watched while some of the sex scenes while they were being made, and she even made dinner for them all sometimes after the crew was done filming for the day. Thirdly, apparently some people have given this movie rave reviews as if genital mutilation and gross immorality are something to be raved about. Lastly the title itself is a direct affront to the Lord Himself. It shakes a defiant fist at God and unabashedly challenges His authority from the very moment the idea for this movie was conceived in the corrupt mind that it originated from. Everything about this movie promotes unholiness, ungodliness, unrighteousness and all things that are called good.

Good friday

Today was beautiful because I got to spend good quality time with my brothers and sisters in the Lord. That was after the preaching of the word of God by Pastor Ricks, Minister Lee, Chaplin Morse, Pastor Clark, and Pastor Moss. I forgot the other sister's name but God really spoke through them today. They preached from the book of Matthew 27:32-54 Basically talking about all that Jesus endured for us, the beatings, mock trials, the humilation of being spat upon and ridiculed, the false accusations, desertion, and finally the crucifixtion itself. They drove home the point that he didn't say a word, and that he didn't give up in the face of extreme opposition and persecution. He endured to the end, accomplishing his Father's will, and fully fulfiilling the righteous requirements of the law all while fulfilling the prophecies made in the past concerning the coming Messiah.
It's an incredible feeling to know that I am loved by God that much that he would go through all that for me and give me eternal life with him and his people. And that's what made today beautiful for me, being in the midst of people who love God like I do and think like I do. Plus the Lord said, "where two or three are gathered together in my name I am in the midst of them. How awesome is that, to be in the presence of God with joy and thanksgiving! Yes today was truly lovely indeed and I owe it all to Jesus Christ.

In the absence of God

In the absence of God, there is an absence of all things good and virtuous, that are of any eternal significance. Many temporal deeds of
the most noble sort are manifested in the human experience daily. However, of what long lasting value are they, if not committed with the glory
of God in mind, and the advancement of the gospel of Jesus Christ. They only serve to add to the perpetrator a reenforcing psuedo sense of being
a good person. Without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, we lack the proper understanding and power to exercise true goodness in it's purest form.
The heart that rejects the living God is a polluted wasteland that can neither do good(according to God) nor even ascertain what goodness
is. Jeremiah 17:9 says "The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked: who can know it?" Pure goodness is done in the spirit of selfless-
ness, humilty, and love of God which leads to love of neighbor. It is devoid of pride or self adulation, and seeks not the praise of any man, but from
God alone and to God alone.
