The Walking Dead

There is a phenomenal fascination with zombies these days, from hollywood, to video gaming and even the gun industry with their zombie targets. There has always been that zombie genre out there but the magnitude of it's growth and following is just crazy now. Of course you already know that  zombies are dead people who appear to be alive. They walk around in this kind of zoned out (dead) state of being with blank stares on their faces until they come across someone is actually alive and then it seems like they get angry and try to consume the living person. One day I was thinking about zombies and their behavior, I don't know why, and it dawned on me that the bible talks about zombies (the walking dead) all the time. Ephesians 2:1-3 says "And you (believers) hath he quickened (made alive), who were dead in trespasses and sins. 2. Wherein times past you WALKED according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience. 3 Amoung whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and or the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. We were dead in our drunkenness, drug use, fornication, adulteries, lies, wicked imaginations, selfishness and greed, pride, gluttony and idolatry. We were alive physically but dead spiritually. So when you see someone who is still caught up in these things and apart from Jesus Christ what you are actually looking at is a real life zombie. But God is good and he is able to save them just like he was able to save me and give me life. Before I mentioned how zombies try to consume the living. I guess it is just something that is in their nature to do so. And that's exactly what real life spiritual zombies do as well, they try to destroy the living, the people of God, with their mouths. Job 16:9 He teareth me in his wrath, who hateh me: he gnasheth upon me with his teeth; mine enemy shapeneth his eyes upon me. Lamentations 2:16 All thine enemies have opened their mouth against thee: they hiss and gnash the teeth; they say, We have swallowed her up: certainly this is the day that we have looked for; we have found it and seen it. The zombies love to speak evil of Gods people even about the Lord himself bearing false witness against him because their actions are evil. I have a few questions for you, are you a zombie today? Are you one of the walking dead who inhabit the earth, dead in your sins and trespasses whose only purpose is satisfy your fleshly lusts and desires? Are you still rejecting Jesus Christ and his gospel? If so then the wrath of God is resting on you right now. John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life: but the wrath of God abideth on him. Now is the time of salvation, now is the time to come to Jesus and receive eternal life, now is the time to be born again and inherit the kingdom of God.

I really want to knock this guys teeth down his throat

I know the title of this, my latest blog post, got ya'll like whaaaaat, Keith is trippin. Yeah you right, I know I know I know, I already know. I shouldn't be having those type of thoughts, especially as Christian. God calls us to love our enemies and bless them that curse us and not to return evil for evil. He even commands us to pray those people that persecute us. Matt. 5:44. I have put that scripture into practice many times before and watched God deal with my enemies for me. But this time, with this particular person, I'm like AHHHHHH. I've sought peace between us and prayed for this dude and his family. I have tried to help him when he has a work related problem and even offered him some of my lunch snacks. The good stuff I'm talking chip ahoys here. I even shared with him pics of my babies but nothing seems to soften him up. He is still is a loud, rude, lazy, angry, gossiping, wanna be bully and it drives me nuts. I have worked with people like this before but not for this long of a time. I prayed for God to help me to love people like he does, not really realizing what I was asking for until now. I know that Gods love is unconditional, perfect, patient and kind. But now I REALLY know a little something about Gods love because even though that coworker of mine is not a lovable person I still love him. It's Gods spirit in me that is doing something to my heart. The Lord is showing me the sin and the imperfections of my own heart and mind that lay hidden where only he can see and yet he still loves me. Things that I honestly thought I had overcome. So pray for me because to be real, I don't want to hurt this man, after all he is made in the image of my God. I want him to know the love of Jesus. I just gotta pick up my cross, put to death my fleshly desires, (like knocking his teeth down his throat) and allow Jesus to love him through me. And even if my coworker never receives it, I will have become more like Jesus who loves me perfectly, patiently,  and unconditionally.

Transformed: Gods will for you

Transformed: Gods will for you

Gods will for you

John 6:40  And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Matthew 21:21
Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea, it shall be done.

What are you believing God for today? Is it more money to pay the bills? Is it for healing from a physical or even a mental ailment? Maybe deliverance from the cruel scowl and mockery of unbelieving co-workers and family members. While those things certainly require prayer, and don't escape the attention of our loving God, they are mere mole hills in our lives. Jesus said speak to the mountains, no wait, he said command the mountains to be removed. The real mountains are the mountains of doubt, fear, anxiety, unbelief and other sins that we allow to arise in our hearts and minds when we face the trials of life. When the storms of life come, and they will, we must stir ourselves up in our most holy faith, and stand firm against devices of the enemy. When fear, doubt, anxiety come, and the desire to use fleshly lusts as a pain reliever to ease your burden, confront them in the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit, command them to be cast in to the sea of Gods love for you.
